X-Ray Safety Training |

Harvard and CNS have special training requirements for tools that involve x-rays.
Currently, the CNS tools that require this special training are:
XRA-002 Micro-CT System
The steps below must be completed prior to training and qualification on these tools.
X-Ray Safety Requirements:
- Read at least the first 4 sections of the Harvard University Radiation Safety Manual located at the URL: http://www.cns.fas.harvard.edu/safety/manuals.php
- Read the X-ray Cabinet Safety Protocol located in Appendix K of the Harvard University Radiation Safety Manual. (Same link
as above)
- View the video entitled, “X-ray Diffraction Hazards,” located on the CNS web site at the URL: http://www.cns.fas.harvard.edu/safety/videos.php
- Complete theCNS X-Ray Safety Requirements Form, and return it to James Reynolds in LISE 306 in person or by fax
(617-384-7302).
